Jens Trabolt kommer att ge en inblick i en elektrifierad framtida luftfart. Jens är sedan 2010 flygredaktör för nordicgliding.com, som är en sajt engagerad i energieffektivt flyg och segelflyg.
Han är även pilot och flyglärare och har gjort testflyg på 10 typer av elektriska flygplan.

An electrified future aviation?
Adoption of Electric vehicles in the global market is accelerating, thanks to political stimuli and massive investments. But what about Electric Aircraft? In this talk the Editor of the Nordic Gliding Magazine, Jens Trabolt, will provide a look into electrified future green aviation. NORDIC GLIDING is world leading in its coverage of the electric transformation of gliding with more than 70 articles currently on the website. We will learn more about the early pioneers of electric aviation and the current, very exciting electric gliders and light aircraft available. The talk will also present the current battery-electric and hydrogen-based projects that hopefully will pave the way for future regional, short-haul, or maybe even in due time, long haul decarbonized commercial aviation. The tech talk focuses mainly on the primary technical possibilities, dilemmas and challenges, secondary on the political and environmental aspects.
